"Let the ball do the talking" "Take every ball head on" "Be the one who is first to the ball" "Boundaries are there to be broken" "Banish fear" "Banish pain" "Banish the excuses" "Black sweat and blue" All sayings from the youtube video titled "Bleed Blue" promoting the India National cricket team, sponsored by Nike. This video with clips of players, fans, and the sport in action also shows us the intensity and passion in which the sport is played. Players from the National team give us quotes of inspiration that not only apply to cricket but can apply to most sports. our overall favorite quote here at DRIPT is "Bleed Blue" realistically though since all of us here at DRIPT are hardcore nikeheads we constantly bleed orange. But because Cricket National Team India is bleeding blue, were going to bleed blue with them. We would alos like to point out the crazy body painted fan who is painted like the Indian flag and blowing

Nike just recently launched their newest commercial titled "Yards". This commercial is a cricket commercial which shows the intensity of the game in almost perfect form which most Americans is unfamiliar. Cricket is not an American sport but Nike represented it in such a way in the commercial that it creates a sense of excitement and energy that Americans might not associate with the game but now understand. From our understanding, the commercial is aimed to generate attention to the cricket semi-finals against India and Pakistan. One of the things Nike does in this commercial is they show the connection between kids playing "street" cricket and then flashes of the National team. This shows the intensity in which young children on the street play with the same heart and intensity as the professional athletes. One of the most important things that we think of this matchup is the Nike sponsored India National Team which will be taking to the stadium in their Team Kit that is made of recycled bottles just like the soccer jerseys from the world cup. Watch the game online and you might just have a new appreciation for the sport. Here is the quote from the youtube video from poster nikeindia. Cricket Is beyond sport. It is life itself, in every gully and in every home. Street or stadium, 22 yards is where today's legends are made and tomorrow's heroes are born. 22 Yards is where you play for pride, play with soul and play as one. Good Luck to both teams! We once again see another custom that tickles all our senses yet is not completely original snagging its inspiration from Miami and the Lebron 8 V1 "South Beach". According to sources this pair started as a pair of "Oreo's" and was designed by Burn Rubber sneaker guru Eric "El Cappy" Lowry and he designed the kicks for a blogger from Detroit, Jaun the Blogger. We would post the images but we try not to post images that have watermarks or are clearly owned by other people. Check out the images on Nicekicks.com or on google images.
Below we have an image of the new Griffey hybrid. This edition is called the "Cincinatti Reds" and as of right now there is now release date available. Definitely the best color-way of the shoe so far. Let us know your thoughts below.
We saw as the first shoe of the Kobe 6 the Black/Del Sol edition. Also called the black mambas. We recently received images of pretty much the reverse that is coming out for the playoffs. This upper consists of lightbulb and del sol and highlights are black. Definitely a sick color-way. Projected to drop in a GR on April 30th for the price of $130.
The Nike Lunar flow is an update of the classic Air Flow. This is now available on Nike.com. Check out the images below. The shoe is comprised of a fuse upper on a lunar midsole-outsole and features the classic color-way and then new ones.
A lot of people were not so happy with the Air Max 2010's design in comparison to the 2009. Here is an image below that is an unreleased sample in the Grey and Purple color-way. It would be great for this to be released on even just as a sample on ebay. This shoe seems to have some influence from the 2009 and from the Air Max 95'. Let us know what
Joe Mauer, a name most little kids know at this point if their baseball fans and most adults know because he is an All-Star player. He is now covering MLB The Show 2011, just like he covered 2010. This is exclusive to PS3 and some of the features include ball stitching, PS logo on the tongue, game's over artwork and an image of Mauer on the sock liners on the left and right respectively. The release date of these Huaraches will be on April 9th and will be available at Eastbay online. As we see below it is pretty clear where this edition draws its inspiration from. Its got a blue upper with volt air unit and highlights. It is said this shoe is to be a "low" but this image doesn't look so low to us over here at DRIPT. One thing that would have been crazy would have been if Bron Bron was wearing these kicks in the Lebron and Sprite commercial that we link to you below. Hopefully there will be release info on this to follow but hit us up with your thoughts. SAY WHAT WHAT?!?!?!
This cant be true! This is by far the worst news any sneaker head has heard all year and in a long time. Nike has a hold on all of us and I put my hands together for them. Congrats on the decision I'm actually in full support, I can only hope that my addiction to kicks ends by the time the choice hits and takes effect. Im interested in seeing ho |
