There have been numerous releases after the Tiffany SB Lows that have used a similar color-blocking but nothing has been able to receive the honor of being dubbed the "Un-Tiffany" until now. No word yet on a release date but Nike SB will be releasing a Dunk Mid Pro with the Tiffany colors, obviously reversed. Sadly from the looks of it, there is not going to be a diamond on the tongue of these jewels Stick with DRIPT to get your release info and when we know, you'll know. Set to hit the public as a general release in August this retro has built up much anticipation throughout the Jordan head community.
Inspired by a World War II fighter jet, Tinker Hatfield led the shoe industry to new altitudes with this design. Jordan rocked these in 1990 driving the Bulls to the Conference Finals, his 6th All Star game appearance and his 4th league scoring title. This 2011 retro is made with an enhanced cut of suede, a translucent outsole, reflective tongue with a red Jumpman as well as the original “AIR JORDAN” stitched on the inside of the tongue. Jordan Brand’s 2011 version of this shoe also contains a white Jumpman on the back panel instead of the “Nike Air” logo with a swoosh beneath and a 23 on the side panel. These retro Vs carry a price tag of $150 and are available right now on eBay. If you are luckily enough to walk out of the store in these gems, keep your laces-locked. I know, I know, most of you are still recovering from the burning of the South Beach's. Its okay people, it was for a good cause and it was to prove a point! Here at DRIPT we actually are watching the item and will keep you updated on the sale price. Please donate to soles4souls even if not interested in these kix. Head to their website and give a donation. Thanks! The DRIPT Team Take notice how we didn’t call it the Think Pink edition, or the one that promotes Breast Cancer awareness. This one unlike its predecessor has no Breast Cancer ribbon, and same with the new Lebron Soldier V now available at nikestore. The one similarity between this and the 2010 Think Pink hyperdunk is that they share the same metallic pink in the upper. As of now it is unclear if these are going to be for Women specifically or for men, as the last release was for both yet the Lebron Soldier is for men sizes only. This one and another hyperdunk 2011, the tennis ball, all electric volt, were gonna stick with tennis ball based on its color, are the two that have tonal uppers based on one color and are sure to be the hottest color-ways of this upcoming shoe. Stick with DRIPT to get your up to date release info and to keep fire on your feet.
China has had one of the fastest growing markets in regards to the sport of basketball. Most of the sport is played on outdoor courts and recently Nike has made some adaptations to their basketball shoes to make it more fit for the Chinese balling community while keeping it relevant and useful here in the US. One great example of this is the hyperfuse, which the Nike designer says himself was designed because of Chinese kids wanting more breathability without loss of stability in their basketball shoes. That being said, some Chinese companies themselves have arisen recently and are taking advantage of the market and all the more so are marketing off the connection and obsession of Chinese kids and American athletes. Nike is therefore bringing three of the most known, based on shoes and game to China for these exclusive PE’s that are confirmed for release and selling them in connection with matching T’s. The kicks color-ways are representative of Chinese opera masks and the T’s feature the respective mask for each shoe. Air represents D-Wade, explosiveness for Melo and quick for Chris Paul. Check out all three below and let us know what you think. If interested in getting your hands on a pair let us know.
Back when the Hyperdunk first was released to the public, Nike came out with an edition for the movie series “Back to the Future.” The point of these kicks was to represent the Nike shoes that had a self lacing mechanism in the movie which took place in the year 2015. Even though it is only three years away, Im sadly confident, this self lacing system will not exist just yet. This shoe was released in 2008 and was inspired by Part II of the series.
For this version of the Hyperdunks, they created the regular edition, the Supreme, and the lows, which can actually still be found at certain Nike locations. Finally, coming soon, Nike will be releasing the Hyperdunk 2011, which we first previewed during the All-Star weekend on the feet of Blake Griffin, in one of the hottest color-ways ever, which will be releasing in limited qualities in Asia, but not the exact edition that was the PE he wore in the game. Images have popped up everywhere of the Hyperdunk 2011 and now we have images of the Hyperdunk 2011 supreme, which features a TPU overlay on the toe-box similar to a tennis shoe, with an addition reinforcement on some of the lace eyelets. Other features of these kicks include, lightweight technology with fly-wire and a modified heel cup, with zoom air unit in the midsole and a carbon fiber plate for stability. In fact, due to the positive response to these kicks and the Blake Check it out below and stick with us for more news on the Holiday 2011 release date. |
