Hope this past holiday season wasn't too bad for most of you and your pockets but just when you felt like you were getting a break, you realize that's never going to happen unless you drop the shoe game. This weekend, tonight, at 12am Dec 31st, Nike will be releasing the Lebron 9 collaboration with Miami Artist Freegums. The kicks are simple and classy with a taste of street and some amazing artwork. Check out the image below and follow @nikestore on twitter for the link when the kicks are released online.
So honestly, we just wanted to throw out a reminder to all those DRIPT followers about tonights release and to offer some help in copping a pair. The Concords will be releasing tomorrow officially but those of you who dont want to be waiting outside on a line for a store opening have hope. Tonight at 12am if you follow the nikestore twitter they will be giving updates on the release and will let all their followers know when the shoes are put up on the site. Nike will be limiting the release to no more than 2 per person, per order at the retail of $180. Check out the image below and let us know if these are for you or not.
A staple in every signature line is a shoe that comes out every time there is a new edition. One of these is the Cool Grey for the Lebron line. Below we have an image of the new Lebron 9 Cool Grey and it is crisp, clean, and downright durrty. It features a tonal grey upper similar to the 8's, while keeping a white out-sole, swoosh, and logos. It does not seem to have the hint of Dunkman green like previous but it is a beautiful shoe regardless.
Said to be released in the Spring, but no word yet on an exact date. Stick with DRIPT for more info.
Being a small time news blog, we sometimes don't get the same sneak peaks that other websites offer you but the abundance of information involved is what we try and offer, and articles that are slightly better and easier to read. For the KD IV Year of the Dragon we got an image that needs no more introduction and honestly, paired up next to the Lebron 9, their like perfect siblings. These KD's feature the same metallic blue as the Lebrons with the same orange highlights, with Dragon Skin detail and connections to certain aspects in Chinese culture. The best part about these kicks is the traditional dragon graphic surrounding the heel.
Check them out below and let us know what you think. Do you think we will be disappointed with another HOH release only?
When we first saw the images over here at DRIPT HQ we were blown away by the spectrum of colors that these five kicks create. Ranging from Volt to Copper to Orange, to Red, WTF!!!
The first one we have here is the Lebron 9 featuring sport red, metallic silver, lucky green and a translucent out-sole. We gave you a sneak at these a while back and even were able to help a few lucky people cop them early. Check them out below and look out to pay $170 if you can grab them the day of the release.
Next, which we gave you a look at earlier today is the Kobe's featuring purple, ink, volt, and red. These kicks are a supreme system and will be at the $180 retail price mark. It is tough to say whether $180 is a good price or not, but due to the performance that these shoes offer, in our minds it most certainly is.
The third pair, the KD Bronze kind of look more like Rose Gold but have a unique metallic quality to them that we are not able to pinpoint. Easily the most classy of the five shoes featured in this article and has a price of $95 which not only will make his fans happy, but probably kobe's and Lebron's also. We believe here that this holiday people will be heading out now to cop more than one of these picks.
These last two, the Melo M8 and the Fly Wade 2 were not part of last years Christmas "Stoplight" pack, but since there is no red, yellow, green color-way scheme among the group we decided to lock them all together as past of the Basketball Pack.
The Melo M8 features a predominantly clover green upper with a flash of orange for the Knicks, while the Fly Wade 2 features a tonal red upper with white highlights. The main reason these two are seperate is because they are under the Jordan Brand name. These are going for $135 and $145 respectively. Check out below a group photo of all five and individual head shots.
Scheduled for an early 2012 Release, Nike has shown us some images of the upcoming Nike Air Max 90 Canvas Pack, including Black canvas and a red featured below. The black edition features a unique canvas with grey highlights and a white mid-sole, in addition to a white sock-liner and laces. The red edition features a cream color as opposed to grey for the highlights. Being one of our favorite materials here at DRIPT we anticipate more colors being released. These are similar to the Air Force 1 canvas pack that was released back in 2008. These were set up with translucent icey out-soles and not a gum bottom that AF1's are most known for. These flew off the shelves and were a summer release. With these Air Max 90's in mind, do you think we will see these early spring or will we have to wait till the summer?
Check out both 90's and the AF1's pack below.
Slowly as Kobe's footwear line flourishes, the names are purposes of the footwear and the story behind the color-ways are becoming more and more intricate. This pair nicknamed "Cheetah" is focusing on the speed, quickness, reaction, and predatorial aspects of Kobe's game, similar to the "shark" edition schedule to release later. These are scheduled to be released christmas day this year similar to the "Grinch" from last year, and rocking a similar color-way with the same electric green. Additionally it flaunts a cheetah print purple and some hints of red.

Ronnie Fieg continues to hit the sneaker game with hard fantastically "Ill" designs. He has this habit of naming the kicks after the color-way or the material. These Gel Sagas, are simple with the blue-ish upper and a black mid-sole. Ronnie or so the word on the street claims, is that these will release on December 29th at Ronnies store, KITH in NYC. We will keep you updated on these projects. We have a rear heel image below and a video teaser so check it out. No word yet on if these will release online.
In 2008 Usain Bolt jumped onto the running scene and completely dominated in the running category. Puma has designed these kicks with lightweight characteristics such as a mesh upper with Puma's BioRide mid-sole. In addition, both have his name on the footbed insert.
