The NIKE LunarElite+ 2 is one of the most Lightweight shoes with support and a stable ride according to the NIKE silos for running footwear. The LunarElite+2 offersg an increased amount of support compared to the LunarElite + with lunar cushioning for a smooth and comfortable ride. Some improvements from the first LunarElite are a new flywire construction and less weight.
Some of the benefits of the LunarElite+ 2 is that it is best for runners who are considered nuetral to moderately overpronated in their step, meaning their heel and foot roll in. The upper as said before and like the LunarElite+ is constructed by flywire for lightweight support. Inside the lunar outsole there is the NIKE dynamic support giving stability a runner needs. One of the best things about the lunar foam which we have heard before is the fact that it is constructed of two types of foam. A more dense outer with a softer inner and this provides the runner with a "springy" feedback with ultimate shock absorption. One thing that I personally notice in nike running shoes first is the seam free synthetic overlay, like in the air max 2010 and in some of the NIKE Free shoes in the barefoot silo. This helps reduce chafing and makes the shoe more lightweight. The flywire panels are placed in such a strategic formation on the upper, that they are said to be similar to a hand grip, holding your foot to the sole of the shoe. In addition to this, NIKE has placed memory foam inside the collar and around the ankle for comfort which is similar to the NIKE Zoom Kobe VI which also has memory foam. For cushioning on the bottom of the foot with the insole, the LunarElite+2 features the lunarlon as in most lunar shoes, since it is NIKEs softest foam. This is the soft less dense sole interior. Next, it is surrounded by a more dense foam carrier which acts as the crash pad under the heel and it gives a "springy" reaction to give the easiest flow from the heel to the toe. The dynamic support which is mixed in between the lunarlon and the foam carrier is a plastic piece placed there and it gives you the best support no matter what type of runner you are. It reacts to you and your stride. Some final important factors about these kicks are the shape of the sole, and its technology. The sole features NIKE's classic waffle pattern for the best traction possible. It also is made with NIKE's "Flex Grooves" like in the NIKE Free for enhanced flexibility. This feature is in the womens NIKE Free TR XT. And last but not least it is NIKE + ready meaning if you got yourself the NIKE+ iPOD chip you can just slide it in there and your ready to go. If you do not own the iPOD touch 2nd generation or newer then unfortunately you will need certain generations of the nano with the adapter and then if you dont own the right iPOD in general or dont want to buy one, NIKE sells the NIKE+ Sportband and iPODs at most of their locations.
