After this years drop of the Summit Lake Hornets in the blazing purple and blue, and seeing how much of a hit it was, it would only be dumb to not release a low version or to continue using such vibrant colors in the Lebron signature line. This pair of lows seems to tone down the electricity in the purple and provide a more matching purple and blue choice, while still giving the hornet heel icon. As much as the full length 360 air is awesome, the Lebron 9 high has a better look with that carbon fiber plate and air max in the heel only. Thoughts?

Every two years, any athlete or sports enthusiast has one thing on their mind and thats the Olympics. Sometimes people are a little more selective in terms of winter or summer but we try not to be since that means you need to wait longer. Nike is releasing three of their Air Max kicks with the Olympic ring colors featured on the upper in a hyperfuse manner. One thing that is consistent with Olympic related kicks is usually a navy/red/white/gold/black color-scheme but in this case Nike has chosen to go with the colors of the rings. Below we have pictures of the Air Max 2012, the 95 BB+, and the 90 Hyperfuse. The coolest thing about these kicks is the multi-colored upper that actually allows for some sick color blending if you look where the layers are overlapping. Are these going to be kicks you pick up or not? Let us know in the comment section. Christian Tresser designed the first Air Max 97 which was released in 1997 ironically enough. It was designed using the Japanese Bullet train as inspiration. It featured the first full length air unit specifically made for running. The CVS edition sports a canvas upper as compared with other synthetics or natural materials and is constructed a little differently than its predecessors. This release is sporting a volt upper with white midsole to make a splash of color for the Fifteenth Anniversary of the shoe.
Recently we have seen some amazing pictures of the Nike Lebron 9 Elite. We saw the gold/black/white color-ways that are being featured for the Kobe's too, and we even saw a Maize yellow edition that is looking real good right now. However, we also have some images of the South Beach edition that is almost as poppin as the Lebron 8, just without the super bright upper. These feature a Wolf Grey upper that makes people want to call them the "McFly's" and a then mint candy and pink flash detailing. The technology in these kicks is absolutely amazing and definitely worth the $250 price tag. They are not as bright as the 8's, for us they are however a sure grab.
They will be releasing on June 2nd as of now and we will keep you posted on more release info on these and if you have any thoughts on the price tag or the color-way leave us a comment below. Nike LeBron 9 Elite Wolf Grey/Mint Cindy-New Green-Pink Flash 516958-001 June 2nd 2012 $250 Sorry everybody, but we all knew this was going to happen. Currently there has been a postponement in the release of the Air Yeezy 2. If truly willing to spend anything for these kicks and not wait inline we suggest keeping an eye on ebay for now since they will start surfacing hopefully soon. Otherwise sit tight and stick with DRIPT for more info on the release either in Europe of The States.
Wolf Grey Yeezy 2's making the Zen Grey Yeezy 1's look boring, provide the sneakerhead with a rich outer coveting various textures. The second edition of the Air Yeezy will be available for a retail price of $250 which is deep compared to everything including foams. However prices are seeming to rise slowly with the Lebron 9 Elite listing a similar price. Right now we only have secure release dates in Europe with an April 13th staple, with some locations providing info in regards to a potential April 12th release date. These kicks sport mutiple textures and shades of grey with a glow in the dark out-sole and numerous details that need to be inspected. Follow DRIPT for more information regarding the release of the Yeezy 2's, and check out the specs and the Picture to get a feel if these are for you. If they are you better start lining up since some lines have formed back in February. Nike Air Yeezy 2
Wolf Grey/Pure Platinum 508214-010 04/13/12 $250 When we first witnessed the most recent release of the Mayfly it featured a bright orange color-way that we show you below. A bright popping color that will make any runner or athlete stand out while giving them supreme performance and breath-ability from a running sneaker. Now as the Spring season for footwear is hitting us on the head we are starting to see light footwear like the Mayfly available to the public. Nike has released the Mayfly for this coming Friday and will be available in two colors, Mint and Black. Both of these color-ways offers many new possibilities for these kicks that was made possible just by choosing the right color-way, and now can be used in more formal sneaker-head occasions.
Check out the images below and hit up Ronnie Fieg's place Kith in NYC for a pair this coming Friday March 2. The new Supra Society Mag is sporting a magenta and yellow color-way similar to a pair of Skytop III's that just became available. Both can be found online at Supra's web-store. One of the best features of this pair of kicks is Terry Kennedys initials on the back heel. Supra usually opts to using a two-toned midsole/outsole but for these they went with a solid white vulcanized outsole making this pair much more appealing to the eye. It reminds us of a candy or even a strawberry lemonade. Check them out below and let us know what you think.

Releasing on May 5th will be a low edition sporting some sweet summer colors with an all white upper with white patent and mesh, black detailing on the inside, and a translucent red out-sole similar to the "Breds." There could potentially be more of a craze and longer line to wait on then we have seen in past years for the pre-Christmas release of the XI's like the Concords, Space Jams, Cool Greys since the weather will be nicer and easier to wait outside for a long period of time. We shall see....
They will be available on May 5th for $140 retail. Cop or no Cop? If you need help finding a pair early or late hit us up. kicksking@dript.net |
