It’s never too early to discuss a Jordan release; Next to drop from the Jordan line is the Air Jordan 5 retro in Black and Metallic Silver. Set to hit the public as a general release in August this retro has built up much anticipation throughout the Jordan head community.
Inspired by a World War II fighter jet, Tinker Hatfield led the shoe industry to new altitudes with this design. Jordan rocked these in 1990 driving the Bulls to the Conference Finals, his 6th All Star game appearance and his 4th league scoring title. This 2011 retro is made with an enhanced cut of suede, a translucent outsole, reflective tongue with a red Jumpman as well as the original “AIR JORDAN” stitched on the inside of the tongue. Jordan Brand’s 2011 version of this shoe also contains a white Jumpman on the back panel instead of the “Nike Air” logo with a swoosh beneath and a 23 on the side panel. These retro Vs carry a price tag of $150 and are available right now on eBay. If you are luckily enough to walk out of the store in these gems, keep your laces-locked.
