Recently Nike has been giving a new swing towards using their Hyperfuse technology for Sportswear in addition to Athletic Footwear. The first shoes Nike applied that to was the Nike Dunk High, which was available at NikeTown locations including New York and Boston. Next they began to release images of the Air Max 1, and the Air Max 90, and the Air Force 1. Recently on Nikestore, the Air Force 1 high was released in three colors, White, Blue, and Volt. They were released this past Saturday and the Volt and Blue color-ways both soled out. One of the other colors, that is set to release is the Solar Red color-way, that looks more pinkish. Right now the only color available is the White on nikestore but the other colors can be purchased at websites such as kicks-crew. There doesnt seem to be more available and there are none in the volt available on ebay. Good Luck trying to find them, you could have caught the Nike Sportswear Ice Cream Truck but they soled out even faster.

The DRIPT Team. Lamar has been starring in a reality tv show with his wife Khloe or Khlamar and some of call them and it is one of my favorite shows on TV. Just like I enjoy watching the show, I enjoy his kicks. Some of Lamars PEs are the hottest things in my mind, mostly becuase of the colors. His most recent PE is of the Hyperfuse 2011 with a majority goldish yellow upper synced with purple hyperfuse and the Lamar Odom logo on the tongue. These kicks are now being released to the public on this coming saturday but exclusively at House of Hoops locations. They are already available on ebay but if you want your pair at retail I suggest you head over to your local Footlocker House of Hoops. Retail should be around $100 but check out our on foot images and detailed picks below.
The new Hyperfuse features a zoom air unit in the midsole with an enhanced supportive hyperfuse upper, midfoot shankbone and supreme breath-ability. The DRIPT Team I get DRIPT you get DRIPT we all get DRIPT, and finally DRIPT has acquired our domain name. Sadly, DRIPT.com was taken and we tried fighting for it, but we settled with DRIPT.net and DRIPT.org. Feel free to easily share the domain with everyone now that it no longer has a"weebly" attached to it.
Thanks for reading! DRIPT Team Excitement was a word that popped into my mind when mid-season came a long and I started thinking to myself what Lebrons next shoe would look like. Michael Jordans line had some sort of progression for the most part from shoe to shoe but so far Lebrons have been very unique and different from one another majority of the time, with certain big similarities in each, like the 360 Air Unit. Images leaked a couple weeks back of just the tongue on the new Lebron for next year giving minute details such as carbon fiber and black and red coloring and even the use of the new logo L Crown J. Now that images have finally popped up and the shoe is available for purchase from websites for pre-sale and severely inflated prices, im thinking to myself something has to be done. The quality of the upper does not seem to be a progression in any way from the previous design, and the upper seems to have taken cues from a lot of other shoes that is not necessarily the way to go. The upper on the toebox looks too similar to original hyperfuse and hyperfuse low and the flywire usage and the mesh on the fuse looks to similar to the 360BB which happened to be influenced by the Lebron 7. Carbon fiber being used on the ankle pieces could be taken from last years Zoom Skyposite. The only new and unique quality to this shoe as far as I can see is the heel tab, usually seen as a loop or something that holds on to the back of the shoe strongly, this is an actual tab. In my mind and honest opinion, there is too much non-cohesive detail going on with this pair of shoes and it is a great start to what should be the final product for the Lebron 9 but I will have to see these in another color-way to be convinced.
The Nike Lebron 8 V2 happens to be one of the best if not the best basketball sneaker of the year. Using a unique upper that was most likely seen for one of the first times on the Nike ACG Zoom Ashiko hiking boot, and a full length Air Max unit, these basketball kicks were the definition of fire. Once images leaked for the Low edition it it pretty much was the V2 but with a lower ankle, a lot of people were very happy especially those of us at DRIPT, who get to look at “Sprites” everyday when walking into work, what a Beauty! They happen to be next to the South Beaches which is even better but besides that…Nike is now releasing the Lebron 8 V2 Low “Miami Night” color-way which features a multicolored upper that supposedly is showcasing, in footwear form obviously, a nightlife firework scene from the beaches of Miami with confetti being thrown into the air adding the “speckles” to the design. Right now there is no news on the release date and they currently are “soled” out at margueesole.com in their shop. Stick with us for a release date or check back at our release dates archive and scroll down to the bottom. Word on the street is that these will be released in conjuction with the next American Patriotic Holiday. It cant really be July 4th since that just passed, and realistically were still waiting on the release of the “Solar Red” V2 Lows. Stick with DRIPT for both.
“Get DRIPT and stay wet on the hottest summer days” Its illegal to hunt Panda Bears, lets just start there. These Pandas however are for personal ownership and will live in your home quietly and cutely and will play with your kids without being ravenous or destructive, and were also designed by Jeremy Scott. Jeremy Scott happens to be one of the craziest looking people I have ever seen, and his collaborations reflect his sense of style perfectly. In some cases, it’s a little quiet compared to his usual mode of dress such as his Teddy Bears, or in this case, Panda Bears. The concept itself is unbelievable, but when you look at the kicks individually it is so simple. The next version of the Jeremy Scott cuddly snuggly line is going to be the Panda Bears which can already be grabbed early at some locations but will officially be released on August 1st. If in need of a pair after the release please email us at DRIPTdesigns@gmail.com for any questions or help tracking down a pair. The retail on the Teddy Bears was around $200 at their mid-winter release so expect the Panda Bears to be around the same area. All you have to do right now is ask yourself one question. . . Are Panda Bears comparable to Foamposite?
Coming to retailers in the fall is this new color-way of the Zoom Kobe 6. This is our opinion should have been one of the first color-ways to be produced because of its homage to the Lakers but nevertheless its coming out now, even though hopefully there is an NBA season, by then Kobe will be on his next shoe. These 6’s feature an imperial upper with highlights of gold/del-sol on the inside of the tongue, detailed specs on the laces, the swoosh, the Kobe logo and the outsole of the shoes. Nike has been getting crazy as of recent with the “army” color-ways for the Kobes and this tones it down for a nice finale, if it is the final picture to the Kobe 6 collection.
Nike has finally done it giving one of their subsidiaries a chance to shine in the footwear. Nike has given artists collaborative opportunities and famous persons chances but now its Hurleys turn. The new Air Max 90 “Phantom 4D” designed by James Marshal uses Flywire as reinforcements along the colorful lines that are brightly more colorful than the majority of the upper. These are limited to around 500 pairs and are being released on sync with the opening of Salvation Malibu. Most likely these kicks are not going to make their way to the east coast but stick with us to find out the locations on the west coast so maybe you can give them a call and pick up your own. Definitely the best color-way of the Air Max 90 in 2011 and that we have seen in a while. Let us know what you think below.
