The Great, The Greater, The Greatest!

Three different editions of Lebrons Signature shoe have arisen for the Lebron 8.  First we saw the V1 then the V2 and now the P.S.  V1 featured a leather upper and sick color-ways like the South Beaches.  The V2 moved on to a lighter shoe which used mesh and had color-ways such as the entourage, and the christmas edition and even the pink edition for kids.  And Finally we move on to the P.S.  which will be the version that features the ever-so popular "dunkman"  edition.  We got to see some crazy color-ways for the V1 that were never released like the SVSM Home and Away Pe's and the Knicks home and away PE's which I would have paid a lot of money for.  And Finally we have the V2 lows which will hopefully be coming out soon, but honestly I think they should have released Lows for each edition, but we are very excited over here at DRIPT for the Sprites.  One of our employees already dropped for an early pair from Air-randy on ebay.

So now that the Lebron 8 P.S. has finally released we want to discuss some of the things behind its design and where the shoe comes from.  Jason Petrie, the lead designer for the Lebron line had a vision of a three-sneaker-in-one concept.  Lebron sees the season in two parts, the regular game season and then playoffs.  While at the same time he has a strong love for the lion.  They combined these concepts considering Lebron is the King.   The Lion works in three stages, the stalk, the attack and the kill and this was the inspiration behind the three shoe concept and also the fact that they get lighter from the V1-V2-P.S.  The Final P.S. is 2.5 ounces lighter than the V1 with more support on the upper considering the hyperfuse is a technology that is consistant throughout without natural flaws that leather can have.

From leather to mesh to fuse and from new team, to family to champions?  maybe, who knows.  Now that the playoffs have begun, lets keep a close watch on these teams.  Here at DRIPT though we wear pinstripes on the daily and now that its time for playoffs for the Knicks and the Rangers were wearing Orange and Blue tops with red white and blue bottoms.  If were lucky the knicks will beat the celtics.  fingers crossed.
